From 1971 «Meddle» is widely regarded as Pink Floyd’s first concept album, introducing the idea of a theme that can be returned to. The album features the seminal track «Echoes» that filled a complete side of the original vinyl release. Everything about «Meddle» is allowed to breathe and grow. Rocking opener «One Of These Days» rises out of nearly a minute of wind effects; «Fearless» delivers its slightly stoned punch over six minutes.
